In the Idea Champion’s report on their inquiry into the top catalysts of creativity, taking a shower ranked 25th. So if you’re one of those people who get great ideas in the shower, I have a great idea for you.
Okay so it’s not my idea, but it’s a still a good one. It’s AquaNotes! AquaNotes® is a waterproof notepad that allows you to record your great ideas while you’re in the shower. It’s so durable you can even write underwater. They’re recyclable, environmentally friendly, and the notepad is printed with soy-based ink.
For $6.99 you get a pad and pencil with a suction cup pencil holder and 40 sheets of waterproof paper. According to their website, AquaNotes are not only useful for shower thinkers, but also shower doodlers, boaters and field workers. Since you can also write underwater, I’m assuming it would also be great for divers. So you wouldn’t have to remember all those hand signals, you could just write a note: “My mask is full and I want to go back up NOW!” Or, “Don’t look now but there’s a shark behind you.”
They also have Aqua Love Notes so that you can leave a tender little note to your partner to read when he/she has a shower, “Will you PLEASE wipe down the shower when you’re finished.” Or, “I’m not telling you again, PLEASE PUT DOWN THE TOILET SEAT. I fell in again in the middle of the night.”
Because I’m all about great ideas, I’ve come up with some additional uses for AquaNotes. How about:
If you want to leave a note on someone’s door in bad weather. Paper self-destructs and ink runs. AquaNotes stay fresh and readable.
When you’re crying, your tears won’t make the Aquanote run.
No more lost beers. Attach an AquaNote to your newly opened beer with a big ‘MINE! Steal it and die!” sign on it. Or maybe attach a poison sign to it. Whatever works with your particular group of friends.
You could write cute little reminders to your children or guests and leave them floating in the pool.
Here’s a great one – you could have a silent game of Marco Polo. Just write out Marco (or Polo) and hold it up. Great for when you’ve invaded a neighbours pool in the middle of the night and don’t want to wake them up.
Attach AquaNotes to laundry items or washing (or don’t wash) instructions on your favourite clothing items so that when your husband takes them out of the washer he can still see that he screwed up.
When you’re having a deck party, label those pitchers of frosty drinks. The condensation and ice want wash away your writing.
